Hubby was wishing he had some good dessert to eat one evening, so I decided to experiment with a reverse cream method vanilla cake, amaretto cream filling, and decorated with buttercream rosettes. The vanilla cake was just okay, the cream filling is wonderful and I’m generally happy with the decorating. It certainly was an easy and fast way to decorate a cake. However the rosettes meant there was a lot of buttercream and it totally takes over the flavor of the filling. I’ll have to find a different icing or perhaps just less of it.
Thanks for stopping by and if you eat cake, do it in moderation!
