When I saw this pattern this summer I knew I had to make it and knew that I wanted to play around with the quilting. There is so much space to play in. I used the embroidery patterns from Snow Days by Crabapple Hill. They are such fun scenes of kids playing in the snow and picturesque buildings. Staples enlarged them 150% and I traced the sections I decided to use with a Flexion pen. The scenes are quilted with a shinny medium grey thread and the snow filler quilting is done with Sew Fine white.
It it was difficult to photograph. If you enlarge the picture you can see the scenes
I have another set of trees which don’t have the stars on yet. I’m going to play with the arrangement and probably do the same quilting. I gave away this one for Christmas but I want one for myself.
Thanks for stopping by.
