Christmas Tree Table Runner

At the last minute, I needed a Christmas gift for a family husband and wife.  You know, the ones that you don’t have a clue what to get them and you’ve already bought way too many bottles of wine.

So I pulled out my Christmas fabrics and made a Christmas Tree tablerunner.  There are tutorials on the web for this design but I decided to use my 60 degree ruler and go for it.  I cut as many trees for the length I wanted.  Sewed them together. Decided what width tree trunk would look good and then calculated the background piece needed.  I used whole trees on the both ends but trimmed them in the middle plus 1/4”.

It’s quilted with a simple feather design in the trees and straight lines in the background.  My family members seemed to be very pleased with it.

Thanks for stopping by.
