Customer Quilts

Three more lovely customer quilts.
First up is Martha’s with Camellias pantograph.

Next is Betty’s quilt in tan’s, brown’s, grey and gold’s. Really gorgeous colors. I used a golden yellow thread and Feather Fancy pantograph. The photo doesn’t show the beautiful depth of color because it’s such a dreary day.

Last and largest quilt at king size is Judy’s. She used beautiful fall colored fabrics with a brown border. Pantograph is pretty paisley. A pantograph that is turning out to be popular.

Thanks quilters for letting me quilt your quilts.

Snowy Quilt

This is what I’m working on. I used the embroidery, one block design, and part of the design of the body of the quilt from the quilt pattern, Over The River and Through The Woods by Crabapple Hill. I made my stars with many small pieces and each star is different. I also moved the words to the outside border and changed the words. The flying geese are smaller to fit in better with the word border.

Tomorrow I’ll start quilting it. Some ideas have occurred to me but we’ll see what happens when I’m stitching.

Bargello Quilt Finished

I’ve been working on Marlene’s lovely quilt in between caring for my husband who is sick with the flu. Luckily my husband is improving and I was able to finish quilting. The colors and design of this one are stunning. Marlene requested leaves and curls. So I used Rainbows Safari variegated thread in the brown/gold areas and quilted a leaf and curl free form design. The blue area is quilted with a curl and feather design in an Omni blue thread. The border also has Rainbows thread with a leaf and curl vine.

Enjoy.

Customer’s Turquoise Quilt

Some lucky grandchild of Marian’s is getting this lovely quilt. I kept thinking about the beautiful turquoise waters of the FL Panhandle (at least when I lived in Mobile many years ago).

Pantograph is Star Swirl. Although you can’t tell in the photos, I used a turquoise and green King Tut variegated thread by Superior Threads.

Kona Jelly Roll Win

I don’t enter very many blog contests but I did enter one recently on Amy’s Creative Side (http://amyscreativeside.com/blog/). She asked what my favorite color was in Kona Cotton. My choice was mint. I’ve always love that soft green. Much to my surprise, I won this jelly roll provided by Jackie of Canton Village Quilt (http://www.cvquiltworks.com). Isn’t it wonderful?!!! Now to decide what to make.
